Honduran Naval Force rescues 10 people in Laguna de Caratasca

The Honduran Naval Force successfully rescued 10 people in the Laguna de Caratasca, located in the Gracias a Dios department. The rescue operation was initiated after a small vessel was reported drifting due to engine failure.

Captain Mario Rivera stated that naval reaction teams were deployed immediately upon receiving the alert in the Yaurabila area. The individuals were located and transported safely to the Yaurabila community pier. Authorities noted that the mechanical failure left the passengers adrift for several hours before the timely intervention of the naval personnel.
