Honduras coffee exports approach record $2.35 billion

Honduras is approaching a record coffee export value of approximately $2.35 billion. According to the Secretariat of Agriculture and Livestock, the country has exported 7.18 million quintals of coffee so far, a significant increase from the 6.142 million quintals recorded during the previous harvest.

Despite an 11% decrease in the average international price of the grain, the total export volume grew by roughly 24%. This surge in volume has driven substantial foreign exchange inflows, with current exports generating $2.25 billion. Officials expect the final figure to approach the $2.35 billion mark by the end of the cycle.

Data from Adecafeh supports these trends, reporting coffee sales of 5.63 million bags, representing a 24% year-on-year increase. Looking ahead, Ihcafé projects that the 2025-2026 harvest could reach $2.4 billion in revenue.
