Honduras releases L533 million in municipal transfers

The Honduran government has released L533,232,486.58 in transfers to the country's 298 municipalities. Juan Carlos Molina, president of the Association of Municipalities of Honduras (AMHON), announced that this disbursement covers pending transfers and ensures that all local governments have their corresponding resources through September.

The funding process was coordinated between AMHON, President Nasry Asfura, and the Ministry of Finance. Molina noted that the payments are being distributed to all municipalities regardless of political affiliation, providing essential support for local governments to manage community needs and fulfill their responsibilities.
