Taiwan weather forecast predicts heat and shifting rain patterns

The Central Weather Administration has issued weather updates for Taiwan, noting high temperatures and shifting conditions. Daytime highs are expected to reach between 30°C and 36°C in some inland areas, with strong UV radiation.

Typhoon Dujuan, the 24th typhoon of the year, is expected to pass near the southern coast of Honshu, Japan, on September 21. While it is not expected to have a direct impact on Taiwan, travelers to Japan are advised to monitor flight information. Additionally, there is a possibility of a tropical disturbance developing east of the Philippines, though its intensity and path remain uncertain.

Looking ahead, weather patterns are expected to turn wetter with increased rainfall in certain areas, particularly in the southern mountains and windward regions. Authorities have also issued warnings regarding high tides from September 27 to September 29, advising coastal residents in areas from New Taipei to Changhua and in Penghu to prepare for potential seawater intrusion and flooding.
