Hong Kong bar murder case sees 16 arrests
Police in Hong Kong have arrested a total of 16 people in connection with a fatal bar attack in Tsim Sha Tsui. The victim, a 52‑year‑old businessman known as Isaac, was severely beaten after a birthday party and died six days later in hospital. Four suspects, aged 26 to 33 and identified by nicknames such as “Wei Jian”, “Stitchy”, “Qinghai” and “Lin”, were detained on August 4 and charged with murder. Earlier arrests had already secured nine other suspects, some already on bail. The case will be heard at Kowloon City Magistrates’ Court on August 6. The investigation is being led by the West Kowloon anti‑triad task force.
