Hong Kong bar murder: gang leader “Left Mouth” arrested

On Sunday 26 May, a 32‑year‑old businessman, Issac Yang, was fatally injured after being beaten in a bar on Cameron Road (金馬倫道) 26 in the Goldstone Commercial Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. The assault was carried out by members of the Sheng Ho (勝和) gang, including the 40‑year‑old leader nicknamed “Left Mouth” (左口) and his associate “Wei Jian”. Police have arrested a total of ten people in connection with the case, detaining the gang leader on murder charges while a 31‑year‑old suspect remains at large. Issac, known in the beauty industry as the “beauty wizard”, had been attending a friend’s birthday party, continued drinking after the event, and was attacked around midnight. He was hospitalized for six days before succumbing to his injuries. The investigation continues as authorities seek the remaining suspect.
