Hong Kong expands tech partnerships through European missions and talent initiatives

Hong Kong is actively expanding its technology and innovation footprint through targeted international engagement and talent attraction initiatives. The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) recently led an industrial delegation to Germany and Austria. This mission focused on building commercial partnerships in artificial intelligence, smart city technologies, and new industrialization across Munich, Vienna, and Graz.

Complementing these trade efforts, the Hong Kong Talent Services Office organized a visit for European innovation professionals to explore the Greater Bay Area. Participants, including founders of AI and medical technology startups, toured various hubs including Hong Kong Science Park, Cyberport, and innovation zones in Shenzhen and Guangzhou. These visitors noted the region's potential in robotics and healthcare, highlighting the advantage of being close to mainland manufacturing chains to accelerate the transition from prototype to application.
