Hong Kong Fashion Fest to host 300+ designers this September
The third edition of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest is scheduled to take place from September 1 to 14. Presented by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and spearheaded by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, the event will feature over 300 local and international design entities across eight flagship programmes.
Key highlights of the festival include the “VIRTUOSE: The Artistry of Couture 2026” opening, the “Wear’s HK” citywide pop-up, and the international trade platform CENTRESTAGE. Other scheduled events include the “Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) 2026” focusing on sustainability, the “5th Hong Kong Denim Festival,” and a menswear showcase titled “Future Threads: Menswear’s New Waves Between Italy and Hong Kong.” Admission to all public exhibitions is free.
In a related development regarding the region's fashion industry, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) reported that the HKTDC ESG Index 2026 for the fashion sector rose to 65.5, up 2.3 percentage points from 2025. The data indicates growing commercial value in sustainability, with 61% of ESG-related exhibitors reporting additional profit margins of at least 10%, and 47% of buyers expressing a willingness to pay a premium of 10% or more for such products.
