Hong Kong's 6th Industrial Exhibition Shopping Festival draws 60,000 shoppers with deep discounts and live‑stream sales

The 6th Industrial Exhibition Shopping Festival ran from 26 to 29 June at Hong Kong’s Asia International Expo Centre. Over 260 stalls across eight theme zones were presented, including a new Southeast Asian food area and a “Trend Play Sports Zone” featuring pickleball. Nearly 100 items were offered at a 90% discount or for just HK$1, and organisers projected 60,000 visitors and HK$60 million in sales.

Tickets cost HK$10, with free admission for children under 1 m, seniors 65 +, and persons with disabilities. Two free shuttle buses linked Tsuen Wan and Tuen Mun to the venue. The event featured live performances by popular singers and a HK$400,000 prize draw.

A live‑stream e‑commerce partnership allowed merchants to showcase products online; some reported a 10% sales uplift, while others noted limited reach to older shoppers. Despite a red‑rain warning on the opening day that reduced footfall, visitor feedback was generally positive, praising the venue’s comfort and the free transport service.
