Honor to launch Magic9 flagship series with ARRI camera technology

Honor has officially announced that its new Magic9 flagship series will debut in China on September 28, 2026. The series, which may include the Magic9, Magic9 Pro, and Magic9 Pro Max, emphasizes professional-grade mobile photography through a deep collaboration with the cinema technology company ARRI.

The Magic9 Pro Max features a redesigned camera module inspired by ARRIFLEX cinema cameras, moving away from previous circular designs to a rectangular structure. The hardware includes dual 200 MP sensors: a main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and an f/1.57 aperture, and a periscope telephoto lens with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an f/2.6 aperture. To enhance long-distance photography, Honor is introducing a Photography Master Kit featuring 200mm and 500mm teleconverters.

Technological integration with ARRI includes professional color science such as ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3, and ARRI Looks to assist in cinematic post-production. The devices also feature advanced stabilization, including a mechanical gimbal system. Honor showcased these capabilities and its Robot Phone at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, positioning the series as a tool for mobile filmmakers.
