HONOR becomes fastest-growing leading Android brand

HONOR has emerged as the fastest-growing leading Android brand in the global smartphone market during the first half of 2026. According to data from the International Data Corporation (IDC), the company increased its global shipments by 9% compared to the same period last year, making it the only Chinese Android manufacturer to record year-on-year growth.

The company demonstrated significant resilience in several key regions despite broader market contractions. In the Middle East, where shipments declined by 13% according to Omdia, HONOR grew by 35%. In Africa, the brand saw a 53% increase in shipments, the highest growth rate among reported regional results.

In Southeast Asia, HONOR achieved 15% growth even as the overall market experienced a decline. The brand also became the fastest-growing leader in major markets such as Malaysia and the Philippines during the second quarter of 2026.
