Honor tests new 12,000 mAh smartphone battery

Honor is reportedly entering the trial production phase for a new 12,000 mAh battery designed for smartphones. This development follows the company's recent launch of the X80 Pro Max in China, which featured an 11,000 mAh unit.

According to industry leaker Digital Chat Station, while the marketing capacity is expected to be advertised as 12,000 mAh, the battery's nominal capacity is approximately 11,790 mAh (43.86 Wh). The technology utilizes silicon-carbon materials, which allow for significantly higher energy density without a proportional increase in device thickness.

It remains unconfirmed which specific device will house this battery. Potential candidates include the upcoming Honor Wind 2 flagship series or the Honor Power 3, a model specifically positioned within the company's Battery Phone lineup.
