Honor Magic V6 foldable smartphone launches with larger battery, IP68/69 rating and 6000‑nit display

Honor introduced the Magic V6, its latest foldable handset that builds on the V5 with several hardware upgrades. The device houses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB storage and a 6660 mAh battery that supports 80 W wired and 66 W wireless fast charging.

The V6 features a slimmer hinge with a reduced visible crease, a slightly larger front screen and a peak brightness of up to 6000 nits (800 nits typical, 1800 nits in auto mode). The external OLED LTPO2 panel measures 6.52 inches (1080 × 2420) while the internal flexible display is 7.95 inches (2172 × 2352) with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Both screens are protected by Honor’s NanoCrystal Shield glass. The handset is rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance, a first for foldables in its class.

Weighing 224 g and folding to 9 mm (4.1 mm when opened), the phone feels comparable to a regular smartphone in hand, though its flat profile can make one‑handed use challenging. Reviewers praised its durability and overall design but noted the remaining crease and handling quirks as areas for future improvement.
