Honor unveils Watch 6 Pro with cardiac arrest detection
Honor has officially unveiled the Watch 6 Pro in China, a new smartwatch focused on advanced health monitoring and high-end display technology. The device features a 1.5-inch dual-layer OLED screen, utilizing Viнокно’s ViP+Tandem technology, which allows for a peak brightness of 5,500 nits and improved power efficiency.
A primary feature of the Watch 6 Pro is its ability to detect potential cardiac arrest. The system analyzes optical sensor signals and, upon detecting a high risk, can trigger an alarm, display AED resuscitation prompts, and contact emergency contacts. Additionally, the watch includes second-generation blood pressure tracking and can display glucose data from compatible external Sinocare CGM sensors.
Other technical specifications include the Honor Polaris positioning system for stable navigation, 24/7 heart rate variability (HRV) monitoring, and crash detection. The watch is available in various finishes, including stainless steel and ceramic. While the Pro model offers enhanced features, it has a shorter battery life than the standard Watch 6, lasting up to 7 days with the Always On Display enabled or up to 18 days in maximum battery mode. Honor notes that the device is not a medical tool and users should participate in specific research programs to utilize certain health functions.
