Hormozgan Province announces two-week shift to virtual schooling

Hormozgan Governor Mohammad Ashouri Taziani has announced that all schools in Hormozgan Province will transition to virtual, non-attendance learning for a period of two weeks, starting Saturday, September 25, 2026. The decision, approved by the Minister of Education and the provincial security council, aims to prioritize the health and safety of students due to special conditions in the province.

Educational authorities emphasized that this shift does not constitute a suspension of classes; rather, teachers and students will continue the curriculum through digital platforms, national media, and educational systems. Officials stated they will monitor the situation continuously to determine when in-person learning can resume.

During a school reopening ceremony at Shajareh Tayyebah School in Minab, the Governor also discussed regional development plans. He noted commitments from the Tehran Municipality to support development projects in Minab and expressed a goal to transform the character of the Minab district. The ceremony also served to honor the memory of students and teachers affected by a previous attack on the Shajareh Tayyebah School.
