Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz launches medical training for SUS doctors
Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz has launched an immersion program to train fifteen doctors from Brazil's public health system (SUS) in the specialties of Anesthesiology and Clinical Oncology.
As part of the Proadi-SUS initiative and the Ministry of Health's 'Mais Especialistas' program, the training involves ten anesthesiologists and five clinical oncologists from the states of Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Ceará, Roraima, and Amapá. The program combines theoretical instruction, mentorship, and practical immersion to improve healthcare assistance in strategic regions of the country.
Participants engage in supervised practical activities, clinical case discussions, and observation of hospital workflows and safety protocols. The goal is to allow specialists to apply high-complexity medical practices and advanced technologies within their local public health services upon completion.
