Hospital General de Querétaro performs multi-organ donation

A multi-organ donation at the Hospital General de Querétaro has provided new life opportunities for three patients on transplant waiting lists. The donation followed the decision by the family of a 38-year-old patient diagnosed with brain death to authorize the procedure.

Following established safety and traceability protocols, the donor's two kidneys were allocated to patients in Querétaro, while the liver was sent to a recipient in Tijuana.

The Querétaro State Health Secretariat (SESA) encouraged the public to discuss organ donation with their families and noted that interested individuals can register through the National Registry of Voluntary Donors via the National Transplant Center (CENATRA).
