Hostie: Children discover nine pieces of ammunition

Children playing in nature near the village of Hostie in the Nitra Region discovered nine pieces of ammunition in a shallow pit. Police and pyrotechnicians were dispatched to the scene to secure the area.

Pyrotechnicians determined that the items were relatively modern, post-war training ammunition and contained no explosive components. While the specific find was not hazardous, police have issued a public warning advising citizens not to touch or manipulate any suspicious objects found in nature. Authorities urge people to leave the area immediately and contact the police at 158 if such items are encountered.
