House fire erupts in Zărnești, Argeș County, Romania

A fire broke out in an annex of a household in the village of Zărnești, within the Mălureni commune of Argeș County, Romania. Firefighters from the Pitești Detachment arrived with a fire‑engine, while SMURD paramedics and police units also responded to the scene.

The blaze originated in a structure used to store combustible materials; the cause is still under investigation. The 48‑year‑old female owner experienced a panic attack and was attended by paramedics, with her condition to be assessed for possible hospital transfer. Crews have localized the fire and are working to extinguish it and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.
