Housing Finance Bank launches community engagement initiative in Uganda

Housing Finance Bank has introduced the ‘HFB in Your Neighbourhood’ initiative to bring banking and housing finance solutions directly to local communities. The program aims to increase awareness of financing options for homeownership, property investment, and business expansion.

Recently, the bank engaged over 100 residents and business owners in Kira Municipality, including areas such as Kira, Nsasa, Mulawa, and Bulindo. This direct engagement allows participants to explore banking services and mortgage solutions without visiting head offices or traditional branches.

Lilian Nabisere, a Relationship Manager for Home Loans, stated that the initiative is designed to bridge the gap between the bank and communities that may be unaware of available financial tools. The bank also noted that property owners may be able to utilize equity in existing assets to fund further investments, subject to lending requirements.
