Housing Finance Bank strategic developments in Uganda

Overview

Housing Finance Bank (HFB) has implemented several strategic changes to expand its service reach and leadership in Uganda. In August 2026, the bank appointed Moses Mande Oroto as the Head of Business and Institutional Banking. Oroto, who previously spent over 20 years at Centenary Bank, is tasked with deepening engagement with corporate, institutional, and business clients.

Following this leadership appointment, the bank launched the ‘HFB in Your Neighbourhood’ initiative. This community engagement program aims to bring banking and housing finance solutions directly to local residents and business owners. Recent efforts included engaging over 100 participants in Kira Municipality to increase awareness of mortgage solutions, property investment, and business expansion tools.
