Houston Cougars host UCF Knights in Big 12 matchup

The No. 20 Houston Cougars face the UCF Knights in a Big 12 conference matchup at TDECU Stadium in Houston, Texas. Both teams enter the contest with 3-1 records.

As part of the annual Houston Blue game, the Cougars are wearing special hand-painted helmets featuring themes of the solar system, including the Sun, the eight planets, and Pluto. The matchup, often referred to as a rivalry between ‘Space U’ and ‘Space City’, marks UCF’s first Big 12 road game of the season.

In early game action, UCF took an initial 7-0 lead following a 75-yard drive. Houston responded with a lengthy 12-play drive but was unable to score after failing to convert on fourth-and-goal from the one-yard line.
