Houston Methodist Hospital named top Texas hospital in U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll

Houston Methodist Hospital has been placed on U.S. News & World Report’s Honor Roll for the 10th time, retaining its position as the No. 1 hospital in Texas and marking its 15th consecutive year at the top of the state rankings. The hospital also achieved its 34th straight year of being ranked in at least one specialty, with listings in 11 specialties—10 nationally and one regionally (rehabilitation). Six of those specialties rank within the national top‑20, including gastroenterology/GI surgery (5), obstetrics and gynecology (7), cardiology and heart‑vascular surgery (10), pulmonology and lung surgery (11), neurology/neurosurgery (13) and cancer (19).

Hospital officials highlighted the achievement, quoting President and CEO Marc L. Boom, M.D.: “This recognition reflects the remarkable dedication of our physicians and employees and their tireless focus on delivering unparalleled care to our patients.” The announcement also noted that five Houston Methodist community hospitals earned strong positions in the 2026‑27 statewide rankings, with Sugar Land Hospital tied for No. 3 in Texas and No. 2 in the Houston metro area, among other notable placements.
