Houston mother kills daughter after losing custody battle

In Houston, Texas, 35-year-old Cibelle Savella shot and killed her 4-year-old daughter, Vivian, only hours after losing a legal custody battle.

According to local authorities, a family court judge had granted primary and exclusive custody of the child to the mother's ex-husband, Aaron Savella, earlier that day. Following the ruling, Cibelle Savella allegedly shot the child in their residential home before turning the weapon on herself. While she was transported to a hospital, she succumbed to her injuries the following day.
