Houston Texans to open practice window for Tank Dell and others

Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans announced that the team expects to open the 21-day practice window this week for wide receiver Tank Dell, offensive tackle Braden Smith, and defensive tackle Kayden McDonald.

Tank Dell, who has been sidelined since December 2024 due to significant knee injuries including ACL, MCL, and LCL tears, is working toward a return to game action. Ryans noted that the players' availability for the upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans will depend on how they respond to training this week, marking the first time these players will practice together since their respective injuries.

The Texans are currently navigating a difficult season, starting with an 0-4 record. The team's receiving corps has been further impacted by injuries to Nico Collins and a season-ending ACL tear for Jayden Higgins.
