Houthi attacks kill civilians in Yemen provinces
Multiple civilian casualties have been reported in Yemen following attacks by Houthi militias in Al-Bayda and Taiz provinces.
In Al-Bayda province, a landmine explosion in the Nateh district killed two people and injured several others when a Hilux transport truck struck an explosive device. The incident occurred in the Al-Saqiya area as the vehicle traveled from Sanaa toward Hadhramaut. Local reports indicate that the closure of primary roads has forced travelers onto unpaved secondary routes, increasing exposure to landmines and improvised explosive devices.
In Taiz province, five civilians, including children aged 13, 14, and 17, were killed in shelling and sniper attacks targeting residential villages in the Sabir districts. The Office for Siege Affairs reported that five others were wounded by indiscriminate shelling and sniper fire. Local authorities stated these attacks are part of a continuing pattern of violence against populated rural areas in the province.
