Houthi-controlled regions in Yemen face security unrest and military losses
Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen are experiencing significant security instability and military losses. In Ibb governorate, two prominent tribal leaders were killed in separate operations in the Al-Sabrah district, including one targeted by an improvised explosive device. Reports from Sana'a indicate a rise in child abductions from streets and schools, with families often being told by authorities that missing children are attending training courses.
In addition to civil unrest, the Houthi militia has suffered high-level military casualties during intense fighting on the Lahj fronts. Field sources confirmed the deaths of three Houthi commanders—Mohammed Naji Hamdallah, Hamid Abdulkarim Al-Hamzi, and Khalid Mohammed Al-Arasi—during clashes involving Southern forces and Al-Sabiha tribesmen. Fighting remains intense in the Al-Aghbara and Dhubab fronts, characterized by close-quarters combat and ongoing Houthi offensive attempts.
