Yemen conflict escalates as drone warfare intensifies

While the Houthi-led forces claim these successes, Saudi authorities have not officially confirmed the loss of the vehicle.
Simultaneously, Yemeni government forces have increased their own drone operations, releasing footage of strikes targeting Houthi personnel and military vehicles in the Hajjah and Marib regions. Local reports suggest that Houthi leader Al-Qasim al-Marani may have been injured in one such strike, though this remains unconfirmed by official sources.
This surge in aerial combat follows a period of intense fighting that has killed dozens of soldiers. UN special envoy Hans Grundberg has warned the Security Council that Yemen is facing a heightened risk of returning to large-scale conflict, marking the most serious instability since the 2022 truce.
