Houthi leaders targeted in operation to prevent Bab al-Mandab offensive

Yemeni government-aligned forces have reported the killing and capture of Houthi leaders who were allegedly planning a major offensive to seize control of the Bab al-Mandab strait. Among those detained is Murtada al-Naami, identified by Al-Amaliq Forces as the head of the Houthi medical division for reserve and rapid intervention forces.

Intelligence reports from Shiba Intelligence indicate that the Houthi group is preparing a multi-axis offensive along Yemen's western coast. This plan reportedly involves coordinated land movements, ballistic missiles, and drones. The operation is said to be supported by logistical guidance and planning from experts based in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq.

The proposed offensive targets strategic coastal areas, including Al Khawkha, Mocha, and Hais, in an attempt to regain lost territory and relieve pressure on Houthi forces in Taiz and the southern Hodeidah region.
