Hércules celebrates return of Snow and Barbacoa Festival

The Festival de la Nieve y la Barbacoa 2026 has returned to the Hércules community in Querétaro after a seven-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Held at Plaza Bicentenario, the event aimed to strengthen local identity and promote economic opportunities for residents.

Querétaro Municipal President Felifer Macías attended the festivities, highlighting Hércules as a cultural and industrial pillar of the city. The festival featured more than 40 exhibitors, including local producers, merchants, and artisans offering traditional snow (nieve), barbacoa, and various handicrafts.

The cultural program included musical performances by groups such as the Rondalla, Mariachi Universitario, and the Estudiantina from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ), alongside folk dancing and children's entertainment.
