Hércules Snow and Barbacoa Festival in Querétaro

Overview

The 11th edition of the Hércules Snow and Barbacoa Festival returned to the Hércules neighborhood in Querétaro on October 18, marking a return to Plaza Bicentenario in the Villa Cayetano Rubio delegation after a seven-year hiatus caused by the pandemic.

Querétaro Municipal President Felifer Macías attended the festivities, describing Hércules as a “cultural and industrial pillar of the city.” The event aimed to strengthen local identity and promote economic opportunities for residents. The festival featured more than 40 exhibitors, including local producers, merchants, and artisans offering traditional snow (nieve), barbacoa, and various handicrafts.

The cultural program included musical performances by groups such as the Rondalla, Mariachi Universitario, and the Estudiantina from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ), alongside folk dancing and children’s entertainment.
