Hrithik Roshan supports activist Sonam Wangchuk’s NEET exam protest

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan publicly expressed support for activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike to protest alleged irregularities in the NEET‑UG 2026 examination. Wangchuk, leading the Cockroach Janata Party’s demonstration at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over claims of paper leaks and flawed CBSE marking, and has highlighted more than twenty student suicides linked to the exam.

Roshan reshared a video of Wangchuk on Instagram, noting his empathy from portraying educator Anand Kumar in the film “Super 30” and writing, “This sounds true, I learned about the trauma students go through when I played a teacher in one of my movies.” The actor’s endorsement follows similar statements from other Indian film personalities. Wangchuk was taken by Delhi police to Safdarjung Hospital after his health deteriorated, having lost over nine kilograms during the fast.
