Hrvatski vitezovi boxing tournament draws record crowds in Dalmatia

The fourth edition of the ‘Hrvatski vitezovi’ (Croatian Knights) memorial boxing tournament took place on August 22 in Dugovača Cove, Dalmatia. Organized by the Ares Diabolik Zadar Boxing Club, the event featured 20 matches and drew record crowds to the seaside venue.

Mario Krluk from Salona Solin was named the tournament's best boxer after winning the under 70 kg category against Yevhenii Sukhorukov, a Ukrainian boxer competing for Germany, with a 2:1 split decision. Sukhorukov was recognized as the best foreign boxer.

In the junior category, cadet representative Hrvoj Rados of Ares Diabolik Zadar won the best young boxer award by defeating Czech competitor Tobias Vicenik. The tournament also served as a final preparation stage for Croatian national team members ahead of the European Championships in Sofia.
