HSBC wins banking software award for Connecto platform

HSBC has been named the winner in the Enterprise Software - Banking category at the Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards 2026 for its Connecto platform.

Connecto is an in-house enterprise workflow orchestration tool designed to simplify complex processes and accelerate execution within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB). The platform utilizes a single, standardized digital operating model to replace fragmented processes, aiming to build an AI-enabled future through clear standards for control, resilience, and scalability.

The tool automates task assignments to operators, improving processing accuracy and reducing manual intervention. It also provides global management information to help leaders identify bottlenecks and make strategic decisions. Since its inception, the Connecto community has grown from three people to over 200, supporting various functions including Credit and Capital Management, Global Payment Solutions, and Market and Securities Services.
