Hüseyin Yayman urges new constitution and a ‘terror‑free’ Turkey

AK Party Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman addressed the Istanbul Suriçi Grubu Derneği’s “Politics, Economy, Civilization Meetings” in Fatih, Istanbul. He described a “terror‑free Turkey” as a matter of state and national policy, noting that opponents and those refusing to lay down arms seek to hinder the process. Yayman said new regulatory steps are imminent.

He called for a new Turkish constitution, stating, “Turkey needs a new constitution as essential as bread, water and air.” He emphasized the party’s long‑term role, claiming the AKP’s rival is the AKP itself, and highlighted Turkey’s rise as a “model country,” citing its high global ranking in UAV and armed‑drone production. He also referenced regional events such as Iran’s resistance to attacks and broader geopolitical developments, framing Turkey’s stance as influential across the Islamic world.
