Hsin-Ju Chuang death ruled suicide following Hack VC allegations

The death of Hsin-Ju Chuang, a 37-year-old former partner at the crypto venture capital firm Hack VC, has drawn significant attention within the cryptocurrency and technology communities. According to public death records from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner, her death on August 24 has been classified as a suicide.

Prior to her death, Chuang had publicly alleged misconduct by her former employer. In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on August 23, she claimed she had been threatened with industry blacklisting upon her departure and expressed intentions to release evidence regarding her tenure at Hack VC on August 26.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the investigation into the circumstances of her death is ongoing. Alexander Pack, co-founder of Hack VC, expressed shock and sadness regarding her passing, stating that the company had not been in direct contact with her for over ten months.
