Hsinchu City announces National Day and Qingcao Lake festival events

Hsinchu City will host a series of celebrations for the National Day holiday, featuring both a formal ceremony and the 2026 Qingcao Lake Autumn Flame Festival.

On October 10, the city will hold the ‘2026 Hsinchu City Zhuqian Sunrise’ event, which includes a flag-raising ceremony, cultural performances, and a breakfast market. The ceremony will feature national anthem singers Li Yi-ling, a gold medalist in the National Para Games, and Wei Zi-ning, a multi-gold medalist in swimming. The festivities include various local performance groups and a breakfast market offering limited vouchers and souvenirs.

Additionally, the Qingcao Lake Autumn Flame Festival will run from October 9 to 26 under the theme ‘October Shuhu Chill’. The festival highlights include six fireworks displays at Qingcao Lake, a night light show, and an anime-themed program featuring Crayon Shin-chan character meet-and-greets. To accommodate visitors, the city will implement traffic controls on certain dates and provide free shuttle buses from designated parking areas such as Hsinchu Railway Station and Chung Hua University.
