Huang Kuo-chang criticizes Wu Tzu-chia's lawsuits amid Zhu Bei election tensions

Political tensions in the Zhu Bei mayoral race have escalated following legal actions taken by Wu Tzu-chia, chairman of Formosa Monthly, against nine individuals including Ko Wen-je. Taiwan People's Party (TPP) Chairperson Huang Kuo-chang criticized the lawsuits, describing them as “political tricks and gimmicks” that are unlikely to succeed. Huang suggested the litigation is aimed at damaging the credibility of candidate Hsu Hsin-ying.

Huang noted that the breakdown of the “Blue-White” cooperation in Hsinchu has severely impacted Hsu's political standing. He revealed that the TPP's decision to prohibit party officials from campaigning for Hsu was a response to the Kuomintang's disciplinary actions regarding their own candidates.

Meanwhile, political commentator Huang Shih-hsiu accused Hsu Hsin-ying of allowing Wu Tzu-chia to act as a close strategist, claiming their collaboration is undermining the alliance between the KMT and TPP. Wu has also leveled accusations against Huang Kuo-chang and Cheng Li-wen, alleging violations of the Election and Recall Act.
