Huawei and Minto Technology advance AI agent infrastructure in Asia-Pacific

At the Huawei Data Communication Innovation Summit 2026 Asia-Pacific in Bali, Huawei announced a comprehensive upgrade to its StarRiver AI network. The upgrade focuses on the concept of ‘secure and intelligent connectivity’ to support the scaling of AI agents across the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. The new architecture aims to address rising network instability and a 327% increase in AI-driven cyberattacks by integrating intelligence into network operations and merging security with network infrastructure.

In a separate development at the ASEAN AI Summit in Da Nang, Vietnam, Minto Technology introduced its overseas AI agent platform, Wesome AI. During the event, Minto signed educational cooperation agreements with several Vietnamese universities, including Duy Tan University and the University of Danang. The company emphasized that the evolution of AI from answering questions to executing autonomous tasks will make AI agents a fundamental infrastructure for the digital economy in the ASEAN region.
