Huawei-backed Zhiji RX SUV unveiled with advanced electric and autonomous tech

Zhiji Motors chairman Guo Rui announced the Zhiji RX as the first "X-series" vehicle under Huawei's HarmonyOS autonomous‑driving platform. The name "X" is meant to signify breakthrough and innovation, following Huawei's previous "X"‑branded products.

The SUV incorporates Huawei's latest technologies, including the Whale 3.0 electric‑battery platform, four laser radars, the Qian Kun full‑domain redundant autonomous‑driving architecture, and an industry‑first electromagnetic thermal‑control casting process. It also features distinctive L‑shaped star‑eye headlights, a continuous ring‑shaped taillight, and multiple wheel‑rim options.

Road‑testing reportedly covered several million kilometres before launch. Pre‑orders are set to begin next month, with the vehicle slated for an autumn debut.
