Huawei launches Pura X View with wide-screen design

Huawei has officially released the Pura X View in China, a smartphone featuring an unconventional wide-screen design inspired by foldable devices but without a hinge. The device utilizes a 16:9.5 aspect ratio on a 6.39-inch OLED display, providing a wider viewing area than standard smartphones. The screen features a resolution of 2,232 x 1,320 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 6,500 nits.

Despite its thin profile of 6.68 mm, the Pura X View is equipped with a large 7,000 mAh battery that supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. Internally, the phone is powered by the Kirin 9030S processor, 12 GB of RAM, and storage options ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB. The camera system includes a 200 MP main sensor with RYYB technology and OIS, a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens, and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, alongside a 50 MP front-facing camera. The device runs on HarmonyOS 7 and supports 5G and Wi-Fi 7.
