Huawei launches ultra‑luxury ZunJie S800 Grand Design sedan

On 25 June, Huawei senior executive Yu Chengdong unveiled the ZunJie S800 Grand Design, the brand’s first ultra‑luxury model aimed at the 200 million‑yuan (≈ US$28 m) segment. Official pricing starts at 138.8 thousand yuan, with a pre‑sale price range of 1.6‑2.0 million yuan reported by some sources. The car is offered in two power‑train versions – a range‑extended hybrid and a pure‑electric model – and features extensive customisation, including gold‑coloured trim, fine‑wood inlay, a gold‑plated steering wheel and optional hand‑stitched embroidery kits priced at around 20 million yuan.

The vehicle incorporates Huawei’s latest smart‑driving suite: the ADS 5 high‑level driver‑assist system, a six‑laser radar matrix with a self‑cleaning mechanism, and the CAS 5.0 collision‑avoidance platform. Its chassis rests on the next‑generation Tu‑Ling Long‑Xing platform with an 800 V active suspension, double‑valve continuously variable dampers, and a body made of 92 % high‑strength steel and aluminium. Interior technology includes the new Harmony ALPS health cabin and MOFS degradable materials. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in late August 2024.
