Huawei MatePad Air (2026) review highlights OLED display

The Huawei MatePad Air (2026) is a mid-range tablet characterized by its bright 12-inch OLED display featuring a PaperMatte surface for enhanced readability. Reviewers note that the display quality significantly outperforms competitors like the iPad Air.

While the device offers premium build quality, excellent speakers, and fast charging, it faces several limitations. It lacks native access to the Google Play Store, does not include a desktop mode similar to Samsung DeX, and lacks secure biometric unlocking methods such as a fingerprint sensor or 3D face unlock. Additionally, the Kirin chipset provides solid everyday performance but lags in graphics capabilities compared to competitors. The tablet is available in silver, pink, and light blue, with pricing starting at approximately 799 Euro or £699.99, including a stylus.
