Huawei Pura X View sees record sales and attracts iPhone users
Huawei’s Pura X View, a wide-aspect ratio non-foldable smartphone, has achieved significant commercial success, selling over 280,000 units within its first five days on sale. This performance made it the top-selling wide-screen phone across all brands during week 37 of 2026, contributing to an increase in Huawei’s overall smartphone market share in China.
Reports indicate that approximately 30% of Pura X View buyers are existing Apple iPhone users. Richard Yu, Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business, previously suggested that iPhone users might adopt Huawei’s wide-screen devices as secondary or even primary handsets.
The device features a 6.39-inch screen, a 7,000mAh battery, and the Kirin 9030S chipset, all housed in a body measuring 6.68mm in thickness. The wide form factor aims to provide enhanced viewing real estate for multitasking and media without the bulk or crease associated with foldable technology.
