Huawei has reported significant sales for its Pura X View smartphone, selling over 280,000 units within its first five days on the market. The device features a distinctive wide-screen design with a 5:3 aspect ratio and a 6.39-inch display, resembling a mini-tablet or e-reader rather than a conventional smartphone.

According to data shared on Weibo by Digital Chat Station, the Pura X View led sales in the wide-screen phone category during the 37th week of 2026. The success of this non-folding, ultra-slim, wide-screen device has prompted discussions regarding a potential resurgence of the ‘phablet’ trend in the mobile industry.
