Hubert Hurkacz reaches Chengdu Open final before Beijing tournament

Hubert Hurkacz finished as the runner-up at the Chengdu Open after losing the final to Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (9-7). Despite the defeat, Hurkacz's performance in China helped him rise in the ATP rankings from 41st to 39th.

Following his run in Chengdu, Hurkacz is scheduled to compete in a 500-level tournament in Beijing. His next challenge involves a match against American player Learner Tien. Analysts note that Hurkacz may face fatigue due to the recent intense final in Chengdu and the subsequent travel requirements.
