Hublot and Jeff Koons launch Balloon Dog watch collection

Hublot and American artist Jeff Koons have announced a collaboration titled the Classic Fusion Balloon Dog, a collection of watches inspired by Koons’s iconic Celebration series sculptures.

The collection features three distinct versions: polished stainless steel, and anodized aluminum in red or blue. To replicate the voluminous, inflated appearance of the Balloon Dog sculptures, Hublot re-engineered the architecture of the Classic Fusion model. This includes a redesigned 42mm case, bezel, dial, and a raised sapphire crystal, all featuring convex and domed surfaces to create a three-dimensional effect.

Specific design details include a crown shaped like a balloon inflation valve, a flexible balloon tail at the 10:30 position, and a seconds hand counterweight shaped like a Balloon Dog. The watches are powered by the HUB1710 automatic manufacture movement, which features a 50-hour power reserve and a frequency of 4 Hz. Each model in the collection is limited to 200 units.
