Huelva police fleet expansion and Ponferrada road paving improve local services in Spain

The Huelva City Council in Spain has awarded a contract for six new hybrid police vehicles, to be added to the local police fleet after the summer through a rental arrangement. The vehicles, each with at least 160 horsepower and equipped with automatic transmission, GPS navigation, megaphone, and detainee‑transport compartments, are intended to enhance operational capacity and public safety.

Meanwhile, the Ponferrada municipal government has completed paving works on two sections of the Baragañas road in the Dehesas area. The project covered 330 metres of roadway and 2,100 square metres of surface, costing roughly €30,000 financed by the Castilla y León regional cooperation fund. Officials say the improvements will boost road safety and accessibility for local residents.
