Hugo Pratt exhibition opens in Rimini
To honor the nearly centennial of Hugo Pratt's birth, Autostrade per l’Italia has launched ‘Linee in movimento’ (Lines in Motion), a cultural project featuring a collection of stories and an exhibition. Held at the Rimini Fair from August 21 to 26 as part of the 47th Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples, the exhibition is located within the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport pavilion.
The project adapts an editorial work featuring photography by Iwan Baan, illustrations by Pratt, and texts by Fabrizio Paladini. It presents ten stories set in territories adjacent to the Autostrade per l’Italia network, using the highway system as a connective thread to explore Italy's landscapes, traditions, and collective memory.
A three-meter-tall statue of Pratt’s most famous character, Corto Maltese, created by Opera Laboratori, serves as a centerpiece for the exhibition. The initiative aims to celebrate the concept of freedom of movement through the lens of Pratt’s iconic traveler.
