Huixquilucan holds second Youth Council session

The Huixquilucan City Council held its second Youth Council session, allowing young residents from various communities to present initiatives aimed at municipal development. The proposals focused on economic activation, tourism, culture, and sports.

Mayor Romina Contreras Carrasco stated that these democratic exercises create transparent channels for younger generations to influence public policy. She noted that proposals will be forwarded to relevant municipal departments to analyze feasibility and provide follow-up reports to the council.

Specific proposals included a plan by Ximena Moreno from Magdalena Chichicaspa to create a merchant network using georeferenced technology to support local entrepreneurs. Additionally, Carlos David Zepeda from Hacienda de las Palmas expressed support for the ‘Vive Huixquilucan’ initiative to promote the municipality's image.
